Three Students Named National Merit Finalists

Three Westminster students have been named National Merit Finalists. Alec Bequette, Aaron Kampmeier, and William Vestal were among 15,000 students to advance to Finalist standing in 2019.

1.6 million students entered the National Merit Scholarship Program this year by taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT). Students are evaluated based on their academic record, school curricula and grading system, two sets of test scores, information about the student’s activities and leadership, and a written essay.
