Andrew Kempen Recognized by Alex’s Lemonade Stand

Senior Andrew Kempen has been highlighted previously for his work raising money for childhood cancer research through an organization called Alex’s Lemonade Stand. This week, Andrew received a letter from Liz and Jay Scott, Alex’s parents, informing him that he was one of the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s top fundraisers in 2018.

There were more than 12,000 ALSF fundraisers hosted across the country in 2018. The organization raised more $25 million; the money funded nearly 100 new research projects and made it possible to help more than 900 families travel to potentially lifesaving treatments through their Travel For Care program.
