Westminster Captures Third Consecutive District Baseball Title

West Newsmagazine recently published a piece on the Wildcat baseball team’s district championship win.

The Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats have been a dominant baseball program for years.

The Wildcats captured four consecutive state championship from 2011-2014. Two years ago, Westminster finished third in the state.

The Wildcats (26-6) are fresh off winning the Class 4 District 5 championship and will host the sectional game. Westminster will play the Jennings Warriors (7-6) at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday (May 21). The two teams have never met before.

“This will be a new challenge for us,” Westminster coach Dan Petke said about playing Jennings.
