Wildcat Track & Field Competes at State

The Wildcats sent three student-athletes to the state meet in track & field this season.

Freshman LJ Minner competed in the discus and finished in 8th place to earn medalist and all-state honors. He threw 147’4″ on his qualifying throw to get onto the medal stand.

Senior Adrianna Minner competed in the shot put and discus. She finished in 5th place in the shot put throwing a distance of 39’2″. She also finished in 5th place in the discus with a best throw of 125’7″. Adrianna finished her career as a three-time state qualifier winning four medals. She also holds the Westminster record for both the shot put and discus.

Senior Amanda Espy ran the 3200-meter (2-mile) race in 12:22.83 which earned her 12th place. Amanda graduates as the Westminster record holder in the 3200-meter race.
