Westminster Announces New Athletic Director

Westminster Christian Academy has hired Cory Snyder, former football coach at Francis Howell High School, as the next director of Westminster’s athletic program.

Snyder has been on the coaching staff at Francis Howell for the past 2 years, serving as head football coach of the school’s class 6 program in St. Charles, where he oversees more than 120 players and a large coaching and support staff. Previously, Snyder served Westminster as the school’s head football coach and as a science teacher for 15 years, beginning in 2001 and as the upper school registrar for eight years.

During his 15-year tenure, Snyder was among the key leaders who led Westminster’s football program through its early stages and oversaw its development into one of the most highly respected programs in the state.

“I am excited to return to Westminster in a new role as the athletic director,” says Snyder. It will be great to reconnect with so many former colleagues and create relationships with the new staff as we work together to make Westminster athletics a great experience for our student-athletes.”

Snyder holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Secondary Education from Washington University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

“I believe Mr. Snyder is the right person to lead our athletic program into the future,” says Head of School Barrett Mosbacker. “We are excited to have Cory leading our athletic program. He brings a deep knowledge of athletics and of Westminster’s mission, values, and culture. He has a deep understanding and commitment to Christian education and a deep love for WCA. He will bring strong, godly, strategic, and visionary leadership to our athletic program.”
