Join Us for We Are One

Wednesday, March 9, 7 p.m.

We invite you to celebrate Black History Month with us at our annual event, We Are One. This year’s program showcases African American art and visual artists. Student artwork (pictured above) will be on display in the Gallery beginning at 6:15 p.m. followed by a program in the Theatre at 7 p.m. A special art exhibit and reception will follow in the Hub at 8:15 p.m.

Our guest speaker for the evening is curator Shaka Myrick who has extensive expertise in African American art. Shaka was one of the winners of the Romare Bearden Graduate Museum Fellowship, which is part of the Saint Louis Art Museum’s ongoing commitment to prepare early-career museum professionals from historically underrepresented backgrounds seeking careers in art-related fields. We will also feature many of our Westminster students and their artistic abilities. We look forward to seeing you!
