Girls Soccer Opens Season with Win

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote a great piece about the Wildcats’ season opener…

After a tough end to the 2018 season, the Westminster girls soccer team is ready to turn the page.

The Wildcats lost to eventual Class 3 champion Summit in a sectional last year, ending their successful 15-win campaign.

Westminster senior forward Molly Andersen helped alleviate some of the pain leftover from last season by burying the game-winner in the Wildcats’ 2-1 season-opening victory over Fort Zumwalt West in the first round of the Fort Zumwalt Classic on Monday.

“It’s my senior season and I know I and a lot of the others are wanting to do the same type of thing we did last year,” Anderson said…
