African Vision of Hope Alum Shares His Story with Students

African Vision of Hope alumnus and employee Haward Shawa spoke to the Westminster community during Chapel recently about his life experiences and the hope he’s found in Christ.

Haward spoke of his years living in the jungles of Zambia hunting for food to provide for his family and how the Lord led him to one of African Vision of Hope’s schools. A 2016 graduate, Haward now serves on the child rescue team at African Vision of Hope—a Christian organization committed to bringing immediate and lasting solutions to children and families living in extreme poverty. Currently, African Vision of Hope operates five schools in Zambia for more than 3,000 children.

This year, as part of our Faith in Action program, the 7th grade class is partnering with the organization to help raise money and awareness.
