Dreams do come true. Just ask Doug Coleman at Westminster Christian Academy.

Coleman has been hired as the new varsity boys basketball coach for the Wildcats. Coleman, a Westminster graduate in 1999, will assume the role having served as an assistant varsity and junior varsity coach for the past seven years at Westminster.

He takes over for David Klyn, who resigned recently for personal reasons. Klyn, and his wife, Karissa, decided to move back closer to her family in western Michigan. In his two seasons with the Wildcats, Klyn’s teams compiled a record of 37-18.

Now, Coleman takes over the reins.

“This job is a dream come true,” Coleman said. “Some people know they want to be doctors, lawyers; all I wanted to do was teach and coach.  I am very excited to be doing so at Westminster.
