The Cats defeated Pembroke Hill 5-0 in the Class 4 state championship game to win an unprecedented fourth straight championship.

They had to wait for it though, a two hour and 34 minute rain delay put the game on pause in the fourth inning with the score tied at zero.

After the rain went away the Westminster bats went to work. Caleb Hicks singled home the game’s first run in the fifth inning and when the ball got underneath the centerfielder’s glove, another run came home to give the Cats a 2-0 lead.
