Academic Records: At the end of the online application process, you will be asked to print a transcript request form to authorize your student’s current school to send an official transcript to Westminster. This includes current grades, immunization records, behavior record, and standardized testing scores. If your student has been home schooled, a form will be emailed from the Admissions Office for you to complete with the courses taken and grades given.
Teacher Recommendation: We require an English teacher and math teacher recommendation from the student’s current grade. You may either print and hand-deliver the teacher recommendation form or simply email the form to your teacher.
Pastor Letter of Reference: The application process includes a form that must be completed by a pastor or leader in your church. You may either print and hand-deliver the form or simply email it to your pastor.
Christian Faith Commitment: At least one parent must be in agreement with the statement of faith in the Westminster Christian Academy bylaws and give consent to the Christian Faith Commitment. All future students and parents are participants in the life of the Westminster community and are expected in the course of this participation in our school to respect our beliefs, support our mission, and comply with the applicable community standards. This section should be completed by a parent or guardian.
Schedule an Entrance Exam: Many data points are considered to form a complete picture of an applicant. An entrance exam is one of the data points. We are open to accepting SSAT scores, but our preference is the ISEE exam as it allows us to best serve our students by measuring their progress from admission through corresponding ERB test administered in grades 7, 8, and 9. ISEE and SSAT scores, along with information from the sending school, may be used when considering a student’s course placement. Register online for one of the ISEE test dates offered on Westminster’s campus: November 12, December 3, January 21, and February 4. There is a discounted group testing fee of $105 on these dates only. Accommodated testing is available on November 12 and January 21.
Notification: When the application is submitted and the supporting documents are received, your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, and a family and student interview will be scheduled with a member of the Board of Directors.
You will be notified by letter of acceptance, regret, or wait pool. Ninth grade applicants will be notified on February 3, 2017, and all other applicants will be notified on March 17, 2017.
Should a class reach its maximum capacity, students that meet the criteria for admission will be placed in a wait pool. Should space become available, students will be admitted according to the established priority for admission.
