The Rams hosted four weeks of high school player development camps — Parkway Central (May 28-31), Festus (June 3-6), O’Fallon (June 10-13) and Gateway Tech (June 17-20) — that attracted more than 800 players entering grades nine through 12. From that group, 26 were selected to attend a one-night tryout at Rams Park. Then the team of 12 was selected.
Those players have practiced together nearly every day for the past two weeks in preparation for the tournament.
Kinner, a wide receiver/defensive back, said it has been a “surreal experience” over the last few weeks.
