2016-17 Season

12/8  The JV team defeated MICDS last night 55-42. It was a great team effort, and every player scored in the win. Carsyn Beachy had 19 points on the night while Sydney Hott added 10 points and Brie Adams finished with 9. Great start to conference play, ladies! The girls really appreciated the faculty members that came to cheer them on! The Var girls play tonight, and would love another great turn out to cheer them on to a win at MICDS at 5:30.

12/1 Congrats to the JV girls for taking 3rd place last night in the Metro Conference Tournament! The girls defeated Lutheran North 49-34 in a solid team effort. Alexis Turner led the defense, and every player scored in the game. Brie Adams led all scorers with 15 points, and Taylor Highmark and Carsyn Beachy each added 10 points. Great work, ladies!

3/4  The Lady Wildcats won their District semi-final last night over Visitation 51 – 36.  They were lead by Charisse Williams with 17 points, Adrienne Horn with 13 points and 18 rebounds and Margo Koby with 11 points and 9 rebounds.   The Lady Wildcats are part of a WCA double-header for District Titles as the girls play MICDS for the title at 5:00 in the Parkway West Gym.  The Wildcat boys go for their District title at 7:00 also at Parkway West vs Priory.  Come on out to cheer both teams as they go for the district titles.

3/3  The Lady Wildcats won their opening Round game in the District Basketball with a 71 -36 win over University City.  WCA was led by McKenna Montgomery with 25 points and Adrienne Horn with 15 points.  The Lady Wildcats play their semi-final game tonight at 5:30, so come to Parkway West and show your Wildcat pride and then stay for the Wildcat boys semifinal at 7:00.

2/10    The Lady Wildcats 41 – 25 win over Lutheran North on Friday night to improve their record to 15 and 5 on the year.  McKenna Montgomery had  a top 21 points as the team defeated a Metro League rival.   Tonight 2/10  the Lady Cats travel to Kirkwood for a 6:00 pm battle of the area’s top teams.

2/4    With 2 players home sick including the force in the middle Adrienne Horn, the Lady Wildcats travelled to St. Dominic’s for what looked like a difficult game.  Down by 15 at half-time, the Cats rallied behind Charisse Williams and McKenna Montgomery.  Montgomery’s game winning shot with 3 seconds left was the Lady Cats only lead of the game, stunning the St. Dominic crowd.
Williams led the Cats with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists including assisting on Montgomery’s game winner.  Montgomery had 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.  The Lady Cats had solid contributions from the rest of the team as they executed for Coach Gallagher and newly engaged Coach Westhoff beautifully down the stretch as they scrambled to get back in the game AND COME OFF WITH A WIN 50-49. Come out this Friday  2/6 to see the Lady Cats play Lutheran North at 5:30 at WCA (as part of girls and guys double header) in a Metro League showdown.

12/5    The Lady Wildcat basketball team advanced to the Troy Tournament Championship game on Saturday with a 60 – 46 win over Fort Zumwalt South.  Coach Gallagher’s Wildcats turned a 15 – 10 deficit after the 1st quarter into 34 – 24 lead at half with a switch to an intense man-to-man defense.  The Wildcats kept building the lead to over 20 points in the 3rd period leaving the outcome never in doubt.  McKenna Montgomery led the Lady Wildcats with 19 points and 6 rebounds.  Charisse Williams had 15 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals while Adrienne Horn dominated the middle with 14 points and 12 rebounds.  Margo Koby came up big with 9 rebounds and 3 beautiful assists.  The Lady Wildcats play for the Troy Championship on Saturday 12/6 at 2:30 in Troy.

12/3/14   The Lady Wildcats started the season off right, winning their 1st game at the Troy Tournament.  The Cats beat Fort Zumwalt East 56 – 33, controlling the game from the beginning.  The Lady Wildcats were led by their senior captains Adrienne Horn who had 20 points and 15 rebounds and Charisse Williams who had 14 points, 6 assists, 4 steals and 4 rebounds.  Junior McKenna Montgomery also contributed 15 points and  10 rebounds.  With a 20 point lead at halftime, Coach Gallagher was delighted able to have all 11 young ladies get significant playing time.  The Lady Wildcats return to action on Thursday 12/4 in the semi-final of the Troy tournament at 5:30.  Let’s Go Cats!

 

2013-14 Season Read more

3/3 The Lady Wildcats won their 1st round of the District tournament 68 – 32 over Normandy with a total team effort.  For the 1st time this year, every girl available to play scored in the game!  The Wildcats were led by Adrienne Horn with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks, Charisse Williams with 13 points and 5 assists and Lauren Griesedieck with 8 points and 9 rebounds.  The 15 – 10 Lady Wildcats play Visitation in the 2nd round of the District this Thursday at 5:30 at MICDS.  Come out and support the girls in their semifinal game.

2/26  The Lady Wildcats basketball team won 63 – 34 over Hazelwood West on Monday.  The Wildcats were led by McKenna Montgomery with a season high 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Charisse Williams contributed 16 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.  Adrienne Horn had 8 points, but led all players with 12 rebounds and 3 blocks.  All 10 Lady Wildcats who were available to play, did so with positive contributions for all.  The Cat’s have their final home game this Friday at 6:00 vs Villa.  Come on out and help us recognize all the senior basketball players (boys and girls) as well as cheer and dance team.

2/21   The JV girls basketball team defeated Principia 34-31 on Thursday night. Kirsten Davis led all scorers with 15 points while Alivia Johnston and Natalie Bunton added six points each. Azaria Foster and Hannah Lovell led the team in rebounds, and Kirsten, Alivia, and Taylor French had several steals. Congrats on another big win, girls!

2/18 The Lady Wildcats got some measure of revenge last night with a 61 – 50 win over Marquette in girls basketball.  The Wildcats had lost to Marquette in the Parkway West Championship game in early January.  Charisse Williams led the way with 17 points and 6 assists.  Adrienne Horn made her presence felt with a season high 9 blocks to go with 15 rebounds and 8 points.  McKenna Montgomery added 15 points.  Coach Gallagher was pleased with the Lady Wildcats, who shot a season high 60% from the field showing great ball movement and shot selection.  They did this despite having a short bench with 3 girls, including both Seniors Kayla Armstrong and Hannah Caple, injured and unable to play.  The Lady Wildcats meet Principia in what should be a very tight game this Thursday night 2/20 at 6:00 at Principia to determine 2nd place in the Metro League.

2/15 The Girls varsity basketball team had a great win on Friday 2/14 night beating Lutheran South, 67-51.  Three players scored in double figures, Charisse Williams with 23, Adrienne Horn with 12 and McKenna Montgomery with 16.  The team had a total of 26 rebounds, 16 assists, 11 steals and 3 blocked shots.  The team is at Marquette Tuesday 2/18 night.

2/7   The Lady Wildcats beat John Burroughs 59-16 in Metro league action.  The Wildcats were delighted to welcome back their dominate post player Adrienne Horn after a 7 game absence with concussion symptoms.  Horn had 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals in limited time.  The Wildcats were also led by Kayla Armstrong with 18 points and Charisse Williams with 12 points, 6 assists and 7 steals.  Coach Gallagher got good contributions from all 10 players who were able to see significant playing time.  The Lady Wildcats travel to Cape Girardeau Wednesday 2/12 to play highly rated 14-2 Notre Dame before returning home Friday 2/14 night for Metro league action against Lutheran South.

2/4  JV girls basketball defeated John Burroughs 40-13 on Friday. Natalie Bunton had 9 points and 8 steals. Taylor Dorsey also added 9 points, and Lauren Griesedieck scored 7 points and had 8 rebounds.  Alivia Johnston recorded 6 points and 5 steals.  Together, team only allowed Burroughs to score 2 points the entire second half. Great team effort, girls!

1/24 The JV girls defeated MICDS 30-21 last night. Kirsten Davis led all scorers with 13 points and had 8 steals. Lauren Griesedieck, Taylor Dorsey, and Alivia Johnston each added 4 points, and Taylor French had 4 rebounds. Congrats on another win, girls!

1/18  varsity girls’ basketball team won on Saturday 48 to 44 against Blue Springs High School on Saturday. Kayla Armstrong led all scoring with 18 points followed by Charisse Williams with 15.  All 5 starters scored with a strong showing from the players coming off of the bench. The varsity team will play Incarnate Word Academy on Wednesday 1/22  at 7:00 at home.

12/5   The Varsity Lady Wildcats won their season opener against Visitation Academy with a 58-47 win.  Three players scored in double digits: Kayla Armstrong with 20, McKenna Montgomery with 17, and Charisse Williams with 15. The Lady Wildcats are looking for win number two tonight 12/5 at Hazelwood West at 5:00.

The JV girls basketball team defeated Principia 33-28 to clinch third place in the Metro League Tournament. Azaria Foster led all scorers with 9 points, and Taylor Dorsey added 8.  Taylor French had five steals, and Hannah Lovell and Brittney Tucker each had five rebounds. Kirsten Davis and Natalie Bunton each scored 6 points. Congratulations on the win, ladies!
