The Weekly Rundown

2014-15 Season

11/7/14     Congratulations to the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams on their performance at the State Meet on Saturday.  Three girls ran some very inspired races as Janie Hughes, Makaylah Meredith and Katherine Kramer ended their seasons with some great efforts.  Even with the loss of Janie to graduation, the future looks bright for the girls’ team.

The boys’ team finished in third place in the State with some amazing runs!  Andrew Murray and Josh Sumner earned All-State honors as they finished 10th and 22nd, respectively out of over 170 runners.  The rest of the team more than did their job as the Wildcats were sitting in 11th place as a team at the one mile mark and moved all the way up to third by the finish of the 3.1 mile race. Congratulations to Josh and Brendan Yeager on fine careers at WCA.  Thanks to all of the fans for supporting the squirrel chasers and a special shout out to Dr. Sefrit for being part of the Blue Crew on Saturday.
