McKenna Montgomery returned to tournament golf play and showed she still can manage a golf course. Montgomery, a Chesterfield native, captured the recent 25th Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association’s Women’s Amateur title with a 6-over 150 at Sunset Hills Country Club. Her name goes on the Jayne Watson trophy and she will keep it for the next year.

Her average round score of 75.78 tops that of Alison Hiller, who previously held the record with 76.36 strokes per round from the 2001-02 season. “It’s like a dream,” Cusumano said. “To finish with that record, it feels like a dream. Westminster Christian Academy has named Carla Meyer Powell ’99 as Director of Guidance and Counseling, effective August 1, 2015. Powell will work alongside four other counselors to provide individual counseling to students and parents in need, education and information on pertinent developmental topics, and guidance on academic planning.
