Westminster student Ciarra Peters has been named winner of the LMI Aerospace Inc./D3 Technologies Award for Excellence in Research. The award was presented to 35 students who distinguished themselves during the 2013 Students and Teachers as Research Scientists STARS program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis this summer.Peters’ award-winning research paper was completed under the supervision of Dr. Ruth Okamoto, of Washington University in St. Louis, and titled “Construction and testing of anisotropic white matter tissue mimics: a tool for the study of traumatic brain injury.”
