2015-16 Season

5/11  The Varsity and JV lacrosse teams swept Webster Groves last night in their final regular season games. The Varsity won 8-6 as seven different players scored on the night. Samantha Huber got her first career Varsity goal in the game and added a second goal later to lead the team in scoring last night. Macie Daniels and Margo Koby each had three ground balls, and Joi Malloyd got the win as goalie. Congrats, ladies! Come support the girls as they battle Clayton in the district semifinal on Saturday at 9:30am at JBS!

4/13  The Varsity girls lacrosse team got a big comeback win over St. Dominic last night. The girls were trailing 10-5 with just 12 minutes to go, but they battled back to earn the overtime win 13-12. Eight girls scored in the game, including defender Margo Koby and first year player Lucy Kehr. MaryKate Kopsky added four goals while Alyssa Shikles and Whitney Radloff each added two. Brittney Tucker recorded 6 ground balls in the game, and Whitney Radloff dominated with eight draw controls for the team. Great work, ladies!

4/8  The girls’ Varsity lacrosse team defeated Parkway Central yesterday 12-1.  Olivia Coomes led all scorers with three goals.  Lauren Griesedieck and Alyssa Dosmann each added two goals and Sarah Betz, Kaitlin Kittelson, MaryKate Kopsky, Hannah Grace Smith, and Meegan Williams each scored one.  This was a solid team effort on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field.  Great job girls!

4/2  The Varsity lacrosse team had a big win over Visitation Academy 14-4 last night. Olivia Coomes led the team with four goals, Lauren Griesedieck added three, and Kaitlin Kittleson added two. Five additional girls scored for the team, including first time Varsity goal scorers Hannah Murray, MaryKate Kopsky, and Haley Counts.  Goalie Elizabeth Bowman had many clutch saves to keep Viz out of the game.  Great win, ladies!

3/31 The Varsity girls lacrosse team defeated Clayton HS last night 9-5. Olivia Coomes and Harper Larson each scored three goals while Lauren Griesedieck added two goals.   Britney Tucker and Margo Koby led the defense in a solid win. Come support the girls Wednesday 4/1  as they take on Viz at 4pm here at WCA.

5/18   The Varsity lacrosse team came up with a huge win Saturday in the Sweet Sixteen as they defeated St. Theresa’s Academy of Kansas City 10-9.  Jensen Holt scored five goals,  Anna Bergman added three goals, and Olivia Coomes put in two goals to solidify the win.  The defense was outstanding, and the victory secured the team’s first ever trip to the Elite Eight! Come support the girls on Tuesday at 5:45pm at WCA as they battle MICDS in the state quarterfinals! Congratulations, girls!!!”

5/13 The Varsity lacrosse team defeated Visitation Academy 17-6 on Monday night. It was a solid team effort with great unselfish play.  Countless assists from Haley Woolbright, Kelly Goebel, and Anna Bergman along with great defensive play led to the win. Jensen Holt had six goals on the night while Kristen Ahlbrand added four goals. Great job, girls! Come support the team as playoffs begin later this week.

5/8 The Varsity lacrosse team defeated Villa Duchesne for the first time in the program’s history with a 14-11 victory on Wednesday.  Jensen Holt set a new school record by scoring ten goals in the game. Congrats to the team for such a memorable win!

4/25  The Varsity lacrosse team defeated Parkway West 14-5 in a big win on Thursday.  Kristen Ahlbrand had four goals on the night while Olivia Coomes added three. Anna Bergman had three assists and two goals while Jensen Holt recorded three goals and three assists. The defense, led by Goalie Morgan Siebenman’s eleven saves, allowed just one goal the entire second half. A great team effort!

The JV team also defeated Parkway West 5-0!

4/24  The Varsity lacrosse team came through with a big win over Marquette 14-13. Jensen Holt had five goals and two assists. Anna Bergman added four goals while Harper Larson had three goals and one assist. Come support the girls as they take on Parkway West today 4/24 at 4pm!

4/16    The girls’ Varsity lacrosse team defeated Hazelwood Central 16-1 yesterday.  Eleven girls scored in the game, including first year players Madi Deves and Elisabeth Sems.  Meegan Williams and Sarah Betz each had three goals.  Another solid team effort for the lacrosse team!

4/1  The Varsity lacrosse team defeated Parkway Central in their home opener 13-0. Eight girls scored in the game with Olivia Coomes leading the way with three goals. Kristen Ahlbrand, Harper Larson, and Lauren Griesedieck each added two goals.  Morgan Siebenman recorded her first career shut out with the help of the solid defense led by Anna Kuiper, Brittney Tucker, Kaitlin Kittelson, Jordan Weber, and Olivia Harre.
