Financial Aid

Westminster Christian Academy strives to reflect good stewardship by offering only need-based financial aid. Westminster does not offer any academic, arts, or athletic scholarships. The objective of Westminster’s financial aid program is to help close the gap between the amount a family can afford and the cost of a Westminster education. Every family is expected to contribute some portion of their student’s tuition and additional school expenses. For the 2006-07 academic year, 136 students in seventh through twelfth grade are receiving a total of $850,000 in financial aid awards from the school. The average award for a family with an incomes of less than $70,000 is $6,900 per student. A family earning between $70,000 - $100,000 received an average award of $5,500 per student. Families earning above $100,000 received an average of $4,400 per student.

Numerous factors contribute to the determination of a family’s ability to pay tuition, including income, assets, general living and medical expenses, financial obligations, number of dependents, and ages of parents. Please also note that each case is evaluated individually. Therefore, families in the same income range may have different overall financial circumstances and consequently receive different amounts of financial aid dollars.
