Financial Aid Application Procedures

Financial aid applications are mailed in December to all who request them. To receive an application, please check the box on the admission application or call Todd Fuller, Director of Finance, at 314-997-2900, ext. 118. All financial aid requests are confidential; your family will be considered for financial aid once the Admission Committee has made their decision to accept your student. In order to receive your financial aid decision at the same time as your admission decision, you must adhere to the procedure, and deadlines outlined below.

Current Westminster families interested in applying for aid should contact the Office of Admission for an application, or apply online using this link to School and Student Service. Use School code #1009.  In order to be considered for aid before it has been awarded to newly accepted families, current families must adhere to and complete the entire procedure by the appropriate deadlines. Families who complete their information in a timely fashion can expect to receive their award no later than the middle of March.

Westminster uses the School and Student Service for Financial Aid’s (SSS) Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS), copies of a family’s IRS tax form 1040, and all related schedules and W2 form(s) for the appropriate tax year(s) to determine a family’s eligibility for financial aid and resulting grant award. These documents should be submitted to Todd Fuller, Director of Finance, by February 1.

Westminster establishes the need for financial aid through a review of your financial aid application by a board committee whose members remain anonymous. All information received remains private and confidential.

The following prioritized criteria have been established to more fairly distribute financial aid:

  1. Families who were awarded financial aid last year and whose need for financial aid is established again this year.
  2. Families who had a student attend Westminster last year and did not need financial aid but, due to a change in circumstances, now have an established need for financial aid.
  3. New families whose need for financial aid is established through the review.

The financial aid program of Westminster Christian Academy is nondiscriminatory in that no applicant shall, on the basis of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in or be denied the benefits of the program.
